Today I installed the Zarges case and jerrycan holder on the roofrack.
Some presents for Brutus
Meanwhile I’m 3 weeks back from my North Cape trip, and the wanderlust has not yet been set. I can not motivate myself to apply for a new freelance job, instead, I bought 4 steel rims for Brutus last week, a jerrycan holder and a large Zarges case for on the roof rack, a maintenance manual, a tire pressure control system and I did a bid on a roof tent. The plans for a new adventure are in the making!
A new secondhand bicycle to take with me
I thought it would be a good idea to take a bicycle with me on my North Cape trip so I could make some nice bicycle trips instead of driving and also to visit the cities and towns along the way. The bike I owned didn’t have any gears, it’s just a city bike for Amsterdam, so was not really an option for the hills and mountainous up north. I scrolled trough the adds on secondhand website Marktplaats and stumbled upon a nice 21 gear Giant Tourer for a very fair price.
A review of the LG 360 Cam
So I played a bit with the LG 360 cam and like to share my thoughts with you.
If, after reading this review, you’re also interested in creating 360° content, you can buy the LG 360 Cam on Bol.com.
The packaging in which the camera comes is small and contains in addition to the camera, which itself is also small, a USB cable and booklet with manual in several languages. There is no charger or memory card included.
The camera has already been partially charged, but I fully charged it before I started playing with it. The camera has no internal storage, so you really have to insert a microSD card to make even a single photo. I put in a SanDisk Extreme 64GB because I thought 360° video would cost a lot of storage, more about this later.

New 360° camera to document my future adventures
This morning I picked up a new gadget at the post office, an LG 360 Cam. The LG 360 Cam is a compact two lens camera which stitches the two images together to a full 360° view photo or video. The 360° content covers the full sphere around, above, and below the camera point of view. The plans are to use this to document my future trips, beginning with upcoming Panama and Costa Rica trip.
And his name is Blue Brutus

This is a useful list of how to cross African borders undamaged and without too much hassle.
Fresh oil and valve clearances adjusted
Another useful and instructive day with the Yellow Monster in the workshop. The engine got clean oil, and the valve clearances are adjusted. I did not take pictures, but this video gives an impression.
Sandblasting the rims
My job for today was sandblasting four steel rims for the Yellow Monster. Coming days a paint job and then new tires next week. Hereby the before and after of the blasting.
