To all good things come an end and after the pancakes with Eva and the kids I continued my way to Hallstätter see, an Austrian lake from the picture books. Situated between the mountains and with the picturesque town Hallstätter at it’s shores. I took my bicycle and cycled along the lake. In the evening I wildcamped along the lake and prepared my food on a campfire.
Getting an awning and visiting Salzburg
Driving the Deutsche Alpenstraße was accomplished and I had arrived at the Gordigear European office. When Gordigear heard about my plans to drive to Australia, and they being an Australian brand of outdoor equipment, they offered me to provide an awning for the car. An offer I of course happily accepted! And since their European office was on my route I could easily pick it up along the way.
Troubles while getting home
Last morning at the airport of Szombathely things went a bit different. When going trough the airplane start up procedure we faced a problem with the self test of the primary and secondary ECU, both warning lights kept burning while they were supposed to go off after the self test. After consulting the maintenance guys of Wings over Holland we decided to fly to the manufacturer of the plane, which happend to be located in Wiener Neustadt, just over the border of Switzerland.
